WE HAVE A PASSION FOR CARS.
GPO is driven to be the best. We want nothing more than to perform beyond your expectations. Everyone on the GPO team is not only motivated to provide exceptional performance we are all auto enthusiasts. When we recommend maintenance it’s because we know what your car needs. We know what breaks, what wears out, what to look out for. We are constantly learning those things as newer cars age. We try to stay ahead of that by watching the trends. If we see a certain car has a certain part go bad with some regularity we begin to educate our customers that drive similar cars. Prevention is much more cost effective than damage.
Doug started his career in the auto industry building race cars with his dad in Northwest Arkansas. Once he was old enough, BMW hired him and he quickly went through factory training. After working at a few BMW dealerships, Doug moved to Nashville and made the switch to Volkswagen where he received training as well. With the idea to create an independent European automotive shop, Doug started German Performance Options in 2003, first renting space at another well-known shop, then moving in 2005 to our current location at 1227 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN. Experiencing the all-too-common ups and downs of business ownership, Doug invited Corey and Justis to partner up in 2014. This team has lead GPO to become the premier independent European shop Doug started out to create. Doug daily drives a TDI, has a few project cars and you will see his 944 race car at some of the local motorsports events.

Corey has had a lifelong fascination with cars and how they work. Growing up in Nashville, loving motorsports, he found himself working on his own vehicles out of necessity. While going to high school and college, he found opportunities to turn his interest in cars into a way to generate revenue. Corey was spending time at German Performance Options (GPO) talking to Doug about how to upgrade his car and it was during those after hours bench racing sessions that he decided to pursue a career in the auto industry. Corey worked at GPO, and then went to a Volkswagen dealer, where he quickly became the go-to Volkswagen technician in the Franklin area. In 2014, when the opportunity to return to GPO as a partner was presented, Corey made the leap into entrepreneurship. Corey verifies the quality of the work at GPO and works with his team to efficiently work through the ever-increasing volume of cars that GPO services daily. In addition to building a business, Corey has built a race car, an Audi Quattro and most importantly building a family. Corey and Kristin welcomed their son Hudson in 2016.

BMW & MINI Specialist
From his humble beginnings, playing with the carburetor on his dad’s pick up at 12 years old, Jake has not been able to keep his hands off cars since. Originally a hobby, Jake used his skills in automotive maintenance and repairs to pay his way through college, and eventually remained in the industry despite his non-related degree. “I like to help people. I like it when someone brings me their broken car and I get to return it to them running perfectly afterwards. That, and I have a deep passion for anything BMW.” With the notion that “tradition hinders progress,” Jake never worked for any BMW dealership. Instead, he gained his wealth of knowledge working with some of the best BMW technicians in the US over the past 10 years. As an ASE certified technician, Jake excels at electrical and engine diagnostics as well as performance, suspension, chassis, interior and pretty much all things BMW. Jake traveled to Nashville, TN from San Diego, California to join the GPO team. He is happy to service your BMW or MINI, and promises that you will be extremely satisfied.
